ANNOUNCEMENT FROM BAA MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

PEST CONTROL AT HUNSTRETE

Bathampton AA will be commencing use of rope bangers, which will be timed to go off at set intervals and will be used during early hours of light or when necessary.

This may cause some disturbance to members but it is a necessary part of pest control as an alternative to culling.

TICKETS FOR HUNSTRETE

TICKETS FOR HUNSTRETE

It has come to attention of the committee that some members are arriving for late sessions and not putting tickets in the box as expected.

If more evidence of this practice is found then the old system of dated tickets for specific days may be reinstated.

Public Footpath

BATHAMPTON AA

It has come to the attention of the committee that a recent altercation took place at Hunstrete between a member/members and a member of the public.

This was manly due to a member of the public straying on to a vacant fishing peg near to where a member had cast a bait.

As the public footpath runs along one bank of Main Lake it is inevitable that the public will be close to the lake side and this situation will not change.

However, members of the public are not permitted to deviate from the path and should not stand on fishing platforms as this may cause annoyance to members fishing near to a peg that is along the footpath.

Will members please attempt to resolve any situations amicably and if need be seek the assistance of a club official if present.

Many Thanks

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE BAA COMMITTEE NEWTON PARK – UPPER LAKE

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE BAA COMMITTEE

NEWTON PARK – UPPER LAKE

It has been brought to the attention of the committee by the administrators at Bath Spa College that fishing activities have been taking place at the UPPER lake.

BAA members do not have permission to fish this lake and any member fishing there will be deemed to be poaching and as such bringing the name of the Association into disrepute.

If apprehended, membership of the Association will cease immediately for the individual(s) pending a tribunal by the Association and the most likely outcome will be a life ban from the Association.

The administrators at the college will also be within their rights to pursue prosecution against any individual fishing the Upper Lake and security staff have been made aware of the situation and

will be vigilant in curtailing this illegality.
