Can we just remind everyone that both Newton Park and the Hunstrete Complex are currently closed for spawning.
We will post again when we plan to open again.

We are now closing Main Lake from close of today, 23rd May, the carp are spawning.
We will monitor Withy and Murfet’s but expect them to follow suit very soon.
Lakes are likely to be closed for 2 weeks but we will update when we know more.

Hi all. I’ve just received the following message regarding planned rowing races at Newbridge.
Avon County Rowing Club is organising a rowing race on Saturday 28 February. This will be an all day event between Twerton Lock and Saltford, starting at 0900 and the last division will start at about 1600. All categories of boats from singles to eights will be racing, and crews will range from very experienced rowers to complete beginners. There will also be safety launches (RIBs) and other launches carrying umpires and monitors.
And in view of the frequent changes in the river level we have experienced in the last 12 months, we have planned a ‘fall back’ date of Saturday 7 March should the river prove too high for the race on 28 February.
Hunstrete opening and closing times
Good afternoon all hope everyone is well. Hunstrete fishery opening and closing times will be changing this weekend. From Sunday 26th Oct opening will be 8am and closing will be 8pm. There will also be a new gate code which you can find on the clubmate app under access codes.
Newton Park closer 25th October until 1pm

Spawning has started!! Please read.
Newton Park will be closed from the end of today (20th June). No fishing from Friday 21st June until further notice.
Withy Pool will be closed from the end of tomorrow (21st June). No fishing from Saturday 22nd June until further notice.
We aim to only stay closed for the duration of spawning and a short rest period.
