From Bath take the A4 towards Bristol. At the roundabout to the ’Globe Inn’ take the A39 towards Marksbury. Almost immediately turn left into the College grounds, Follow the road to the car park on the left (signposted). Access to the lake is opposite the car park.
Excellent fishing for carp to over 30lb Pike, Roach, Silver Bream and eels are also present.
The increasingly rare (true) silver bream are present in this lake. Newton Park is one of very few U.K. fisheries holding this species (verified by E. A.) with specimens to over a pound – very close if not bigger than the English record.
If you want fun and excitement with extremely hard fighting fish, this is the place for you. Approx. 200 yards from the car park.
