MINUTES OF THE JUNE MEETING

Minutes of the June meeting were reviewed and proposed by M. Sheppard seconded by M. Seymour and agreed as a true record.

BAA was contacted by the E.A regarding the Main Lake at Hunstrete being

designated as a high risk in accordance with the Reservoir Act. BAA does not

intend to contest this decision and dam inspections will proceed as normal by

relevant agencies. Next inspection is due to take place sometime in September or

October as in previous years.

Work party on Box brook completed and was visited by local juniors.

Plenty of enquiries from potential new members.

£100 donated to CLIC Sargent – raised from 24 hour carp match.

Tree down near silt trap area of Newton Park Lake. Relevant procedures taking place to rectify.

Work to improve steps accessing Newton Park to be instigated when BAA volunteers are ready.

Thanks given to all who attended the work party at the weekend on the Main Lake at Hunstrete.

Repair work to the road by Bridge Pool is envisaged to start the second or third week of July.

New bailiffs Ids now ready. New Id cards to be issued at the end of the year to all club officials.

Some loss of stock reported but nothing major – most likely caused by spawning and natural reasons.

Water levels at Lydes Farm still well up due to plenty of rain but work parties will be needed to be scheduled.

Movement of carp over 5lb from Bridge to Withy Pool will commence again using rod/pole methods only. Recipricol weight of silvers to return from Withy to

Bridge. Only club officials may move fish.

Aerator part to be purchased – Withy Pool affected.

Good results/weights in last 24 hour carp match.

River Chew in need of some bank work and some trees in river.

M Seymour to train as level 2 angling coach.

Piling work to be completed soon for Education Centre.
