OVER 55’S AND DISABLED MATCH RESULT HELD ON BRIDGE POOL THURSDAY 22nd NOVEMBER 2018
The latest round of the over 55 and disabled match series has taken place on Bridge Pool. A cold frosty start greeted 17 anglers this week with the temperature close to freezing and the water clear all thought bites would be difficult to come by. That would turn out to be the case for all anglers except one, Tony Rixon fishing peg 11 absolutely blew the rest of the field away with a fantastic weight of 122lb-7oz to win the match with ease. Tony caught most of his fish just off the island using bread and triple maggot. Although the last hour went quiet for Tony the damage had already been done. Full result below

OVER 55S AND DISABLED MATCH RESULT HELD ON BRIDGE POOL THURSDAY 27th SEPTEMBER
The latest round of the over 55 and disabled series has taken place on Bridge Pool. A beautiful autumn day with sunshine and little wind greeted the 21 anglers who took part this week. The general feeling among the anglers was that the silvers would be difficult to catch due to the water becoming clearer and the bright sunshine and that was the case with the carp making up most of the weights caught. Coming out on top this week was Dave Wride with a weight of 74lb-13oz from peg 20. Dave started the match catching skimmers and roach but a couple of hours in to the match his bites dried up so he started to target the carp fishing close to the island catching carp to 8lb and f1s to win the match by just 2lb from the second placed angler.
OVER 55S AND DISABLED MATCH RESULT HELD ON BRIDGE POOL THURSDAY 13th SEPTEMBER
The latest round of the over 55 and disabled series has taken place on Bridge Pool. A beautiful autumnal day greeted 21 anglers this week but a drop in the temperature was going to slow things down. Winner this week was Mike Nicholls from peg 29 with a very respectable weight of 98lb-8oz. Mike started the match fishing for the silvers but at the halfway point had only around 7-8lb in his keep net. The second half of the match Mike changed tactics and decided to fish for the carp which proved to be the correct decision weighing in more than double than the second placed angler.
