HUNTSRETE COMPLEX & DIP TANKS

It has come to the attention of the management committee that members are not using the dip tanks provided and have been moving to different lake’s on the complex after the bailiff has checked. Anyone found not using the dip tanks or moving between lake’s will have there chance to explain there actions to the disciplinary committee. Wich could result in a ban. The measures are in place to protect the fish. Thank you for cooperation B.A.A

OVER 55’s AND DISABLED SILVERS ONLY MATCH RESULT HELD

ON BRIDGE POOL THURSDAY 25th MAY 2017

The latest round of the over 55s and disabled match series has been held on Bridge Pool. An absolutely beautiful day greeted all competitors which could have made for a very difficult match. Steve Dawson who won the last match was the winner again and unbelievably he drew the same peg and won with the exact same weight. (what are the odds of that). Steve drew peg 29 and had a very slow start fishing soft pellet on the deck with little success. After a couple of hours Steve started loose feeding maggots at 13 metres and started to catch small roach and perch up in the water and gradually the bigger skimmers started to feed and Steve caught steadily for the rest of the match finishing with a weight of 32lb.00oz.

Over 55’s & Disabled Match 11.5.2017

The latest round of the over 55s and disabled match has been held on Bridge Pool. Conditions were against the anglers today with bright sunshine and light winds making it difficult to get the fish feeding. The runaway winner this week was Steve Dawson fishing from peg 29 with a fantastic weight of 32lb. Steve caught skimmers to 1.5lb in the first half of the match on 6mm expander pellet over pre soaked 2mm pellet. After a few hours Steve’s bites started to tail off so he changed to fishing maggot up in the water to continue building his winning weight. Full result below
